Dr. Christopher Mason completed his dual B.S. in Genetics and Biochemistry (2001) from the University of Wisconsin-Madision, his Ph.D. in Genetics (2006) from Yale University, and then completed his post-doctoral training in clinical genetics (2009) at Yale Medical School while jointly a post-doctoral Fellow of Genomics, Ethics, and Law at Yale Law School (2009).

Dr. Mason is currently the WorldQuant endowed Professor of Genomics and Computational Biomedicine, at Weill Cornell Medicine, with appointments at the Sandra and Edward Meyer Cancer Center, and the Feil Family Brain and Mind Research Institute. Dr. Mason is the Director of the WorldQuant Initiative for Quantitative Prediction. He is also co-Founder and global director at Biotia, co-Founder and scientific director at Onegevity, and recently published The Next 500 Years: Engineering Life to Reach New Worlds (2021) and The Age of Prediction: Algorithms, AI, and the Shifting Shadows of Risk (2023).
